8 Frame relay configuration

ip address ip-address { mask | mask-length }

The command configures the IP address of the MFR interface.

Step 4 Run:

fr interface-type dce

The command configures the FR interface type as DCE.

CQ NOTE

The fr interface-type dce command is valid only for MFR main interfaces.

Step 5 Run:

fr dlci dl ci-number

The command configures the DLCI of the interface.

Step 6 Run:

quit

Return to the interface view.

Step 7 Choose one of the following steps to configure the address mapping as required.

The fr inarp command is valid only for MFR main interfaces.

Run the

fr map ip {

ip-address

dlci-number

broadcast [ ietf |

nonstandard ] ] command to add a static address mapping.

Run the

fr inarp [ ip ] [

] command to enable the dynamic address

mapping.

Do as follows on the routers:

Step 1 Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2 Run:

interface interface-type interface-number

The interface view appears.

Step 3 Run:

link-protocol fr mfr interface-number

The command binds the interface to the specified MFR interface
