1.2.1 Establishing the configuration task
Applicable environment
The section describes how to configure WAN interfaces. You must run all configurations
related to interfaces in the interface views.

Secure Router 8000: numbered from left to right and from the
top down of the front chassis.
• SR8008: 0 to 8.
• SR8004: 0 to 4.
• SR8002: 0 to 2.
• SR8012: 1 to 10.
Card number: numbered from 0.
If there is no gusset plate, the number is fixed 0.
Interface number: numbered from 0.
It is marked on each interface board.
