9 HDLC configuration
9.3.1 Clearing HDLC statistics
To clear the HDLC statistics, run the
reset
command in the user view.

9.3.2 Debugging HDLC
A
Debugging affects the performance of the system.After debugging, run the
undo debugging
all
command to disable it immediately.
When a HDLC fault occurs, run the following
debugging
command in the user view to locate
the fault. For the procedure of displaying the debugging information, refer to the chapter
"Maintenance and Debugging" in the Nortel Secure Router 8000 Series Configuration Guide -
System Management.

If a certain debugging is enabled in the global system, enabling the same debugging on the interface
does not take effects.

If a certain debugging is disabled in the global system, disabling the same debugging on the
