OQ NOTE

Before you create an MFR sub-interface, ensure that the MFR main interface exists; otherwise, you

cannot create an MFR sub-interface.

Step 3 Run

ip address ip-address { mask | mask-length }

The IP address of the MFR interface is configured.

Step 4 Run:

fr interface-type dte

The command configures the FR interface type as DTE.

CQ NOTE

The

fr interface-type dte

command is valid for MFR main interfaces rather than MFR sub-interfaces.

Step 5 Choose one of the following steps to configure the address mapping as required.

fr inarp ip

command is valid for MFR main interfaces rather than MFR sub-interfaces.

Run the

fr map ip {

ip-address

dlci-number

] command to enable the dynamic address

mapping.

When deleting an MFR interface, first remove the bundle on all real physical interfaces.

For an MFR interface, as long as one of the physical interfaces bundled on it is in up status

physically, the physical status of MFR is up. The physical status of MFR turns to down only
when all the physical interfaces bundled on it are physically down. The link protocol status of

MFR interface depends on LMI packet negotiation.

Configuring the MFR interface on DCE

Do as follows on the routers:

Step 1 Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2 Run:

interface mfr interface-number[. subnumber [ p2mp | p2p ]

]

The MFR interface view appears.

Before you create an MFR sub-interface, ensure that the MFR main interface exists; otherwise, you

cannot create an MFR sub-interface.
