4 POS and CPOS interface configuration

Step 2 Run:

interface pos interface-number

The POS interface view appears.

Step 3 Run:

crc { 16 | 32}

The command configures the check word length of CRC of the POS interface.

The POS interface on the 8012E supports two types of CRC check word lengths: 16 bits and
32 bits.

The POS interface on the SR8008, SR8004 and SR8002 supports one CRC 32 bit check word
length.

By default, the check word length of POS interface CRC is 32 bits.

Configure both the ends to be consistent.

4.2.8 Configuring MTU

CAUTION

After the modification of the MTU of an interface, you must restart the interface to enable the
new MTU.

Configuring IPv4 MTU

Do as follows on the routers:

Step 1 Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2 Run:

interface pos interface-number

The POS interface view appears.

Step 3 Run:

mtu mtu

The command configures the MTU of the POS interface.

The MTU is in byte and ranges from 328 to 8192. By default, it is 4470 bytes.
