6.9.5 Configuring the damping of the MP bundled links

Do as follows on the routers:

Step 1

Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2

Run:

interface mp-group number

The MP-Group interface view appears.

Step 3

Run:

ppp mp damping [ detect-time detect-time flapping-count flapping-count damping-time

damping-time ]

The command configures the damping function of the MP bundled links.

The damping function of the MP bundled links can damp the links that are in frequent

flapping. You can delete the damping only after the stability of the links satisfies the

requirements, so that the stability of the MP bandwidth is ensured.

If you run only the

ppp mp damping

commandn and you do not specify the optional

parameters, the MP bundled linksadopts the default value (bundled links flap once in 30

seconds), and the bundled links are damped After the bundled links are damped, the damping
deletes only when the time of the continuous Up status reaches 60 seconds.
