10 Low-speed ATM configuration

The system view is displayed.

The ATM interface view is displayed.

oam

An OAM interface view is displayed.

Step 4

Run:

loopback vpi/vci { end-loopback | seg-loopback [ llid llid ]

} [ times ]

The cell loopback function is configured.

The OAM provides the loopback test function for the convenient fault location and test. The

loopback test refers to that the loopback cells is inserted in the VC/VP link of a certain
connection point and is looped back in another connection point. The system detects and
locates the faults of the link through the received loopback cells.

CAUTION

When the cell loopback function is applyed on the links with heavy traffic, some loopback

cells may be lost.

The loopback includes the following three types: segment loopback, end loopback, and

loopback of the specified point.

Before configuring the loopback of the segment point, you need to configure the end
loopback point as the segment point.

Before configuring the loopback of the end point, you need to configure the end

loopback point as the end point.

The end point can only start the loopback of the end point, and the segment point can

start the loopback of the segment or end point.

Before configuring the loopback of the specified point, you need to configure loopback
point as the segment point.
