Specifies a network 127/8 address to be used
as the destination address in the echo request
packet.

detail

Enables verbose output information, including
MPLS echo reply, sender address of the
packet, and return codes.

dsmap

Indicates that a downstream mapping
(DSMAP) type length and value should be
included in the LSP echo request.

flags

Received LSR must do an FEC stack
validation. Optional. Default is disabled.

interval
INT_VAL

Specifies a send interval between requests (in
milliseconds). The range is from 2 to
20000.Default is 2.

repeat
REP_VAL

Specifies the number of times to resend a
packet. The range is from 1 to 5000. Default is
5.

reply-mode
MODE

Specifies the reply mode for the echo request
packet.
z Reply with IP UDP packet (default)
z Reply with IP UDP packet with router alert

timeout
TIME_OUT

Specifies the timeout interval in seconds. The
range is from 1 to 500. Default is 60.

ttl TTL_VAL

Specifies the TTL value to be used in the
MPLS labels.
The range is from 1 to 255. Default is 255.

This command has no default settings.

Examples

In the following example, the ping mpls l3vpn command is used to initiate
sending MPLS echo request packets in the specified VPN instance of the
MPLS cloud.

ping mpls l3vpn vpn1 1.1.1.0/24 source 10.10.10.10 destination 127.0.0.1
