Configuration - OSPF Mode
network area
Use the Router OSPF network area command to define the interfaces on which OSPF will run and set
the ID for those interfaces. To disable OSPF routing for the interface defined, see no network area
command on page 16-8.
Syntax:
(config-ospf)# network
address wildcard-mask area area-id
Example:
(config-ospf)# network 192.168.1.1 0.0.0.255 area 1

wildcard-mask
IP address-type mask that includes "don’t care" bits.
area-id
Identifier of the stub area, in the form:
ID number - Range 0-4294967295
IP address - IP address of the area.
If you intend to associate areas with IP subnets, specify a subnet
address as the value of the area-id.
