Depending on the workflow and bandwidth requirements of your system, Grass Valley may provide
a system design in which multiple engines of the same type run on one or more servers. Configure
engines as specified by your system design.
1. In the Control Panel application, open Engines settings.
Settings are described as follows:
Description Setting or button
Selects an Engine for which settings are saved. Configured
The name of a GV STRATUS server that hosts the Engine. Hostname
The Engine components installed on the GV STRATUS server. Engine Type
Indicates if the Engine service is running or stopped. Status
Starts and stops the Engine service. Action
Saves current settings to selected GV STRATUS servers. Save
Returns settings to their last saved state. Cancel
Updates the list. Refresh
2. Click Refresh to make sure the list has the latest information from SiteConfig.
3. Verify that GV STRATUS servers with role of GV STRATUS Conform Engine are listed, with
the corresponding Engine Type.
4. To save settings, in the Configured column, select each GV STRATUS servers with the Engine
Type role.
You must save settings at initial install/config and any time a GV STRATUS server with an
Engine Type role is added, removed, or modified in SiteConfig.
5. Click Save .
Settings are saved to the selected GV STRATUS servers.
