3. Configure XRE Node settings as follows:
a) From the Windows desktop, click
Start | All Programs | Grass Valley | XRENode
.
b) From the Windows desktop system tray, right-click
XRENode
and select
Settings
.
If system tray icons are not present, verify that EDIUS licensing is complete. Missing icons
can indicate the software is not licensed.
The XRENode setting dialog box opens.
c) For
Node name
enter the name of the XRE Node, as specified below.
For
Server setting
, the computer name is present by default.
d) Click
Setting
.
The Settings dialog box opens.
e) In the tree view, click
Settings | Server settings
.
f) Click
Add
.
The Server setting dialog box opens.
g) Make XRE Node settings, as follows.

As desired, enter a name for the XRE node.
Node name
Name:
The local XRE Server name. It is recommended that you
enter the machine name.
Address:
The local XRE Server IP address.
Port:
The port assigned for communication with the EDIUS XRE
Server, as specified in GV STRATUS Control Panel EDIUS
Settings. The default port number is 1223.
