3. Add the following files to the deployment group:
• XREServer_x.x.x.cab
•
GrassValley_K2system_x.x.x.cab
, which contains the following cab files that apply to this
device:
• GrassValleyK2Server_x64_x.x.x.cab
• SNFS_x64_x.x.x.cab
• GrassValley_STRATUSClient_x.x.x.cab , which contains the following cab files that apply
to this device:
• GrassValley_STRATUS_Application_x.x.x.cab
• GrassValley_STRATUS_GVEventViewer_x.x.x.cab
NOTE: If initial (not upgrade) install, first install GV STRATUS software, then install
EDIUS software.
Refer to release notes for version numbers.
4. Do the SiteConfig Check Software operation on the server.
NOTE: If an "Unable to copy ... to target" error appears for a device that has Grass Valley
Embedded Security, put Embedded Security in Update mode.
5. Set deployment tasks to Install for all the files listed above except the XRE Server cab file.
NOTE: If installing EDIUS software, do not install in the same deployment session with GV
STRATUS software. You must install GV STRATUS software first, then EDIUS software.
If a WFRegMon install task appears, install it as well. It is required to support Grass Valley
software installers. There is no uninstall task.
6. Deploy software that is not the XRE Server software to the server.
7. Restart as prompted.
8. Set deployment tasks to Install for the XRE Server cab file.

software installers. There is no uninstall task.
9. Deploy XRE Server software to the server.
NOTE: Expect long deployment times when installing EDIUS software. EDIUS software can
take over 15 minutes and EDIUS XRE software can take over 30 minutes to install. Allow the
installation to complete. Do not attempt to stop the installation.
10. Restart as prompted.
Run the GV STRATUS application
This task is required only if you have installed EDIUS software. If have not installed EDIUS software,
skip this task.
Prerequisites for this task are as follows:
• The GV STRATUS application is installed.
