Introduction

This chapter explains two methods of installing cabinets.

Procedure 6

"Mounting the cabinet on a wall" (page 100)

describes how to mount the

cabinet on a wall.

Procedure 7 "Mounting the cabinet on the floor" (page

104)

describes how to mount the cabinet on the floor using a pedestal.

Note: For a CS 1000M Cabinet system, the Signaling Server must
be mounted in an external 480 mm (19 in.) equipment rack. Refer to
Signaling Server Installation and Commissioning (NN43001-312) for
information on installing the Signaling Server hardware.

Earthquake bracing

If the Small System cabinets require earthquake bracing, refer to the
earthquake bracing requirements in the chapters on system and site
requirements in Communication Server 1000M and Meridian 1 Small
System Planning and Engineering (NN43011-220)
before continuing.
