Install reagent
(with
replacement)

Proceed as follows to install a reagent when another reagent is
already installed at the same address:

1.

Select the method or the sequence which uses the reagent.

2.

Enter the Reagents window.

3.

Press 2 Install reagents. The identification data of the reagent
being installed are displayed.
Press 1.

4.

You are prompted for replacing the reagent.

5.

Press 1 to rinse the burette before replacing the reagent. If no
rinse is required, press 2 then perform steps 6, 10 and 11.

6.

The piston is moved to its uppest position (emptying operation).

7.

Remove the reagent bottle (HCl 0.1 N in our example) and press
✓. The burette is filled then emptied.

8.

Install a rinse bottle containing demineralised water and press

✓.

The burette is flushed,

see "Flush burette", page 101

.

9.

Remove the rinse bottle and press

✓. The burette is filled then

emptied. At the end, the piston stops at its uppest position.

10. Install the new reagent bottle (NaOH 0.1 N in our example), press

✓.

11. The instrument runs a Flush using the new reagent then fills the

burette. The installation is complete.

Insufficient
number of
beakers

This message will appear when the number of beakers defined in the
method sequence is greater than 126.

The names of the 2 reagents (reagent already
installed and reagent being installed) are dis-
played.
Press 1 to start the replacement. Otherwise,
press Stop.
