Balance
connection

Connect the balance to the Titration Manager using the cable corre-
sponding to the type of balance used, see table below:

Cables can be made to your desired specifications. Please contact our
sales representative if you require information regarding the type of
cable to use with your balance.

Format of messages accepted by the Titration Manager:

M

essages end: LF or CR, LF+CR,

Units, g, mg, kg,

The character “g” of the unit is required to mark the end of the data
recognised by the instrument,

Spaces are ignored,

The number of characters situated between the first character in the mes-
sage and the “g” in the unit must not be more than 30, (spaces not
included),

The number of characters received after the “g” and before the end of the
message LF, is insignificant,

The numeric data of the weight must be transmitted before the unit.

RS232C parameters (to set on the balance):

2400 baud, even parity, 7 data bits and 1 stop bit

Example of a message transferred from a balance, type Mettler

The units selected in the Titration Manager must be identical to the
units used by the balance.
