IC6 Operating Manual

While in logic-edit, the select menu area will be cleared from the screen. This
allows the whole screen to be used for statement editing. A single statement is
displayed to edit. The lower portion of the screen will be used to display either the
event or the action list. Events are displayed if the cursor is on the IF portion of the
statement and Actions are displayed if the cursor is on the THEN portion of the
statement. Cursor begins on the first IF item.

The following function keys are active when the cursor is on the upper half of the
page.

Event/Action key will move the cursor to the event or action list on the lower
half of the screen to select an event or an action. The cursor will jump to
whichever event or action in the list that the cursor had been on in the upper
half. The event or action in the statement will be highlighted to indicate which
element is being worked in.

Delete Element key will remove the element the cursor is on from the
statement.

Cancel Changes key returns the statement to the way it was before editing
was started.

Save & Exit key will save the statement and re-display the four-statement
screen with the select menu.

When the cursor is on the lower half (event or action list) of the page the following
function keys are active:

If/Then (F1) key will return the cursor to the IF/THEN statement, with the cursor
returning to the highlighted element in the logic statement.

Replace (F2) key will write over the highlighted element with the selected
Action/Event. The highlight moves to the next element in the statement.

Insert (F3) key will insert the selected action or event into the highlighted
element and moves the elements programmed to the right. The highlight
remains on the inserted element in the statement. If the statement is full then a
full statement error message will appear.

Negate (F4) key will negate the highlighted event element in the statement.
Actions cannot be negated.

To add or delete parenthesis use the cursor in the Event list to select the event
Parenthesis. Pressing Insert or Replace, see

Figure 9-5

, will add a parenthesis

before or after the highlighted event in the statement. If a parenthesis is already
there, Insert will act as a toggle, removing the parenthesis.
