10 Lift the battery pack to expose the wiring connections.
10a Disconnect the positive (+) wires from the battery’s male spade lugs.
10b Disconnect the battery’s negative (-) jumper wires from the
Portable 3000 Micro GC power harness. The battery comes with negative
jumper wires installed. See
Figure 8-41 .

11 Connect the wires to the new battery as shown in Figure 8-41 .
12 As the new battery is lowered into place, guide the wires through the chassis
holes and pull any remaining wire slack through the other side of the chassis to
avoid crimping or pinching the wires.
13 The positive battery terminals should be nearest the Portable 3000 Micro GC
back panel when the battery is properly installed.
14 Replace the battery compartment cover
15 Replace the bottom cover.
16 Replace the top cover.
NOTE: Dispose of the battery in accordance with local laws.
