0.1 Conventions Used in this Manual
◆ Software Versions
Yaskawa recognizes the need to continuously improve product quality. This drive may receive feature enhancements in the form of
software or hardware changes. New functions may be added to the drive. When a new feature or function is added, the software version
<####> will be placed next to the feature or function.

EXAMPLE: This example shows that settings 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, are added to a parameter A1-00 for drive
software version <3020>

In the example above, the version note <3020> indicates that five additional languages have been added with drive software version
3020. Check the drive nameplate to determine the drive software version.
■ EXAMPLE: Nameplate with PRG software number:
The “PRG:” number on the drive nameplate reflects the software version. The software version normally increases
to a higher number with newer versions. Please consult the factory for details.
