Mass of the payload

7.13.2.4

Mass of the belt

7.13.2.5

Angle of tilt

Application with a slope (slide)
For the angle of tilt, only a positive value (slope) can be entered. However, you can dimension an ap-

plication with a slope by specifying a negative speed. If the application is moving on a slope with

negative speed, it goes backwards.
Procedure:

• Enter the value of the slope into the Angle of tilt input field.
• Enter the value with a negative sign into the Speed input field.

Shunt-force coefficient

Symbol

Description

L

Mass of payload

• Value can be entered directly or calculated by the uniform load and conveying length.

Mass of belt

• Value can be entered directly or calculated by the uniform load and conveying length.

Symbol

Description

β

Angle of tilt (gradient)

• The value can be entered in degrees or as a percentage.

• The max. angle of tilt as a first approximation is:

β ≥

arctan(μ)

(static friction between load and surface).

Symbol

Description

f

Filling factor

• The guide value applies to filling degress of the belt from 0.7 ... 1.1.

• Value can be entered directly or selected from the "Physical coefficients" table.

Fill level coefficient

Symbol

Description

c

Shunt-force factor

• The sum of all the peripheral resistances, such as belt bending resistance, friction resistance

from chutes, belt cleaners etc. is taken into consideration in this factor.

• Value can be entered directly or selected from the "Physical coefficients" table.
