Feedback selection

When the selection is made, DSD checks whether

• the design of the feedback system is compatible with the selected motor,
• the function of the feedback system is compatible with the selected inverter,
• the inverter may be operated without feedback.

Tip!
You can also configure feedback systems for motors which act on slave drives. They there-

fore do not have to be compatible to the inverter that controls the motor.

The following criteria must be checked manually:

• Accuracies, resolutions, limit frequencies, max. permissible speeds etc.

• The limit frequency at the inverter input can be exceeded if the feedback system outputs a

too high pulse frequency due to the combination of number of increments and max. speed.
