Example

The following example configures the area 1 NSSA so that summary LSAs are

not advertised into the NSSA.

console(config)#ipv6 router ospf

console(config-rtr)#area 1 nssa no-summary

area nssa translator-role

Use the area nssa translator-role command in Router OSPFv3 Configuration

mode to configure the translator role of the NSSA. Use the no form of the

command to remove the configuration.

Syntax

area

areaid

nssa translator-role {always | candidate}

no area

areaid

nssa translator-role

areaid

— Valid OSPF area identifier.

always — Causes the router to assume the role of the translator the instant

it becomes a border router.

candidate — Causes the router to participate in the translator election

process when it attains border router status.

Default Configuration

This command has no default configuration.

Command Mode

Router OSPFv3 Configuration mode.

User Guidelines

This command has no user guidelines.

Example

The following example configures the always translator role of the area 1

NSSA.
