class-map
Enters class-map configuration mode.
Synopsis
class-map class-map-name
no class-map class-map-name
Operands
class-map-name
Name of classification map. The map name is restricted to 64 characters.
Defaults
The class-name “class-default” is reserved and cannot be created by users.
Command Modes
Global configuration mode
Description
Use this command to enter class-map configuration mode.
Usage Guidelines
Enter no map class-map name while in global configuration mode to remove the classification
map.
Only 128 class maps are allowed.
NOTE
This command is only supported on Brocade VDX 8770-4, VDX 8770-8, and later switches.
Examples
To create a classification map and place system into config-classmap mode:
switch(config)# class-map default
switch(config-classmap)#
NOTE
The class map created using class map becomes the default class-map and cannot be removed
using the no class-map command. You can remove a class-map from a policy map however.
