States are configured for multistate and list objects from the States
tab of the object’s dialog.
When you click the States tab in an object’s dialog, a spreadsheet
opens. Each object state is entered as a separate row in the
spreadsheet. The fields or cells in each row configure text for each
state and other visual attributes.

to select a row, click the row number.
•
to select a column, click the column header.
•
to select a cell, click on the cell, or press TAB or arrow keys.
Most state operations are performed
by clicking a row number and then
choosing a command from this menu.

Cell or Field
The fields that appear in each row depend on whether the object is a
multistate object or a list object.
The multistate objects are:

2-state and multistate push buttons
•
multistate indicator
•
message display
The list objects are:
•
control list selector
•
screen list selector
