Chapter 2: Starting a Local or Telnet Management Session

If the switch has been configured with a name, the name is
displayed after the software version information and before the
command prompt.

For information about the command line interface, refer to the
AT-S63 Management Software Command Line Interface User’s
Guide
.

7. Type menu and press Return.

The Main Menu is shown in Figure 3.

To select a menu item, type the corresponding letter or number.

To return to the command line interface, type C.

When you press the Esc key or type the letter R in a submenu, the
previous menu is redisplayed.

Enhanced

Stacking

When you start a local management session on a switch that has been
configured as a master switch of an enhanced stack, you can manage all
the switches that support enhanced stacking in the subnet from the
same local management session. Therefore, you do not need to start a
separate local management session for each switch. You do not need to
go to the different wiring closets where the switches are located.

For information on enhanced stacking and how to manage different
switches from the same management session, refer to Chapter 5,
”Enhanced Stacking” on page 93.
