Quitting a Local
Management
Session
To quit a local management session, return to the Main Menu and type
Q for Quit.
You should always exit from a management session when you are
finished managing a switch. This can prevent unauthorized individuals
from making changes to a switch’s configuration if you leave your
management station unattended. For information about how to use the
console timer to automatically disconnect a management session, refer
to ”Configuring the Console Timer” on page 67.
Note
You cannot operate both a local management session and a Telnet
management session on the same switch simultaneously. Failure to
properly exit from a local or Telnet management session may block
future management sessions.
