Configuring RADIUS

To configure the RADIUS protocol, perform the following procedure:

1. From the Main Menu, type 5 to select System Administration.

The System Administration menu is shown in Figure 4 on page 51.

2. From the System Administration menu, type 6 to select

Authentication Configuration.

The Authentication Configuration menu is shown in Figure 205 on
page 648.

3. Type 4 to select RADIUS Configuration.

The RADIUS Client Configuration menu is shown in Figure 208.

4. Adjust the following parameters as necessary.

Global Encryption Key
This parameter specifies the encryption key for the RADIUS
servers. This option is useful if you will be entering more than one
RADIUS server and all the servers share the same encryption key.
The default is ATI.

Global Server Timeout period
This parameter specifies the maximum amount of time the switch
waits for a response from a RADIUS server before assuming that
the server does not respond. If the timeout expires and the server
has not responded, the switch queries the next RADIUS server in
