Configuring Authenticator Port Parameters

To configure authenticator port parameters, perform the following
procedure:

1. From the Main Menu, type 8 to select Security Configuration.

The Security Configuration menu is shown in Figure 175 on page
559.

2. From the Security Configuration menu, type 1 to select Port Access

Control (802.1X).

The Port Access Control (802.1X) menu is shown in Figure 197 on
page 629.

3. From the Port Access Control menu, type 4 to select Configure

Authenticator.

The Configure Authenticator menu is shown in Figure 199.

4. From the Configure Authenticator menu, type 1 to select Configure

Authenticator Port Access Parameters.

The following prompt is displayed:

5. Enter the authenticator port number whose parameters you want to

change. You can specify one port or a range of ports (for example, 4-
8), but not nonconsecutive ports (for example, 4,6,11).

Note

A port must already be configured as an authenticator before you
can configure its settings. For instructions on how to change the role
of a port, refer to ”Setting Port Roles” on page 629.
