6.2.1.1 This submenu is highly recommended for new users, as it leads you through the

complete modem configuration process on a step-by-step basis.

Mode

6.2.1.2 Use to select Frame Type and Data Format for Tx and Rx.

Tx

6.2.1.3

(Transmit) Use to define the Tx configuration of the unit. These menu submenu

branches would be used if you wished to change, for example, just the Tx

Frequency.

Rx

6.2.1.4 (Receive) Use to define Rx configuration of the unit. These menu submenu

branches would be used if you wished to change, for example, just the Rx data rate.

Clocks

6.2.1.5 Use to select Tx-Clocking, Rx-Buffer/Clock, or External Reference.

D&I

6.2.1.6 Use to select (Quad) Drop & Insert options (NOT AVAILABLE IN ACM MODE).

ACM

Use to activate or MASK an alarm condition.

Remote

(Remote Control) Use to define whether the unit is being controlled locally,

remotely, or via IP, and to configure the serial Remote Control parameters: baud

rate, I/O format, address.

IP

6.2.1.13 Use to configure various IP parameters, including IP address, gateway, MAC

addresses, VLAN, and QoS.

You may always view the front panel operations and monitor the modem over the

remote control bus (i.e., queries only); however, only one method of remote access

may control the modem at any given time:

You must be in Local Mode to make configuration parameter changes from the

front panel. Remote Mode is required when using Serial-based remote M&C.

You must be in Ethernet Mode when using Ethernet-based remote M&C over IP.
