scale and [re]started using the manual key. The user might also reconfigure the [external] source power
supply to respond to a zero to 5 volt full scale range. Under these conditions the STC-2000A would
continue to utilize the initial parameter range of 0-10 volts and when the power was increased to 50% the
[external] power supply would actually be at 100% power. Please use the START key when parameters
are updated in the non-sequencing mode!

Some error reporting is not the same between sequencing and non-sequencing modes. For

example, if the Source Sensor card were to lose communications with the main CPU card for whatever
reason, an error message, STOP: S4 BAD, would appear on the Runtime screen (upper left) when in non-
sequencing mode. In sequencing mode, screen 2 on the OPT/INF menu would specifiy the Source Sensor
card status as it would also in the non-sequencing mode, but no Runtime screen message would appear
indicating this error condition. In sequencing mode, the inability to proceed with the start of the process
should prompt the user to check the integrity of the Source Sensor card among other things. This example
problem condition, would require a reset or a power off/on cycle to re-establish communication between
the main CPU card and the Source Sensor card if no permanent hardware failures exist.
