Power Connections

The 1398-DDM-075 and 1398-DDM-075X are rated for either single
phase or three phase power inputs. When connected to a single phase
input, the user must change the current limits of the drive. The
following drive parameters must be set:

Positive Current Limit: 50 A peak

Negative Current Limit: 50 A peak

Average Current: 15 A continuous

An explanation of how to set these values is contained in
ULTRA Master on-line help.

!

Intro

ATTENTION: DC bus capacitors may retain hazardous
voltages for several minutes after input power has been
removed, but will normally discharge in several seconds.
Measure the DC bus voltage to verify it has reached a safe
level each time power is removed before working on the
drive; or wait for the time indicated in the warning on the
front of the drive. Failure to observe this precaution could
result in severe bodily injury or loss of life.

!

Intro

ATTENTION: Motor power connectors are for assembly
purposes only. They should not be connected or discon-
nected while the drive is powered.

!

Intro

ATTENTION: Failure to set the current limits for single
phase operation of the 1398-DDM-075 or 1398-DDM-
075X can result in drive malfunction and potential damage.
