End point coordinates

Soft keys

Known data

Cartesian coordinates X and Y

Polar coordinates referenced to FPOL

Example NC blocks

N70 FPOL X+20 Y+30
N80 FL IX+10 Y+20 G42 F100
N90 FCT PR+15 IPA+30 DR+ R15

Direction and length of contour elements

Soft keys

Known data

Length of a straight line

Gradient angle of a straight line

Chord length LEN of an arc

Gradient angle AN of an entry tangent

Center angle of an arc

Caution: Danger to the workpiece and tool!

Gradient angles that you defined incrementally (

IAN)

are referenced to the direction of the last positioning

block by the TNC. Programs that contain incremental

gradient angles and were created on an iTNC 530 or

on earlier TNCs are not compatible.

Example NC blocks

N20 FLT X+25 LEN 12.5 AN+35 G41 F200
N30 FC DR+ R6 LEN 10 AN-45
N40 FCT DR- R15 LEN 15
