Drive Derating Data

The drive can be operated at above rated temperature, altitude and default carrier frequency

by derating the drive capacity.

Temperature Derating

As the ambient temperature for the drive is increased above the drive specification the drive

should be derated. Additionally parameter L8-35 Installation Method Selection on page

211

should be set according to enclosure type and mounting method as illustrated in

Figure A.1

Output Current Derating Due to Ambient Temperature

Set L8-12 and L8-35 according to the installation conditions when the ambient temperature

is above the drive specification or if drives are side-by-side mounted in a cabinet. The output

current is derated as shown in

Figure A.1
