UL Standards Compliance

The UL/cUL mark applies to products in the United States and Canada indicates that UL has

performed product testing and evaluation and determined that their stringent standards for

product safety have been met. For a product to receive UL certification, all components inside

that product must also receive UL certification.

This drive is tested in accordance with UL standard UL508C, E131457 and complies with UL

requirements. The following conditions must be met to maintain compliance when using this

drive in combination with other equipment:

Installation Area

Do not install the drive to an area greater than pollution severity 2 (UL standard).

Ambient Temperature

IP20/NEMA Type 1 enclosure: -10 °C to +40 °C (14 °F to 104 °F)
IP20/IP00 Open-Chassis enclosure: -10 °C to +50 °C (14 °F to 122 °F)
Finless Type: IP20 enclosure: -10 °C to +50 °C (14 °F to 122 °F)

Main Circuit Terminal Wiring

Yaskawa recommends using closed-loop crimp terminals on all drive models. UL/cUL

approval requires the use of UL Listed closed-loop crimp terminals when wiring the drive

main circuit terminals. Use only the tools recommended by the terminal manufacturer for

crimping. The wire gauges listed in

Table C.7

recommendations. Refer to local codes for proper wire gauge selections.
