216| Customizing, recording and editing the Styles and Pads

To choose one of the available
types of Pads
, touch the
buttons
at the top
of the window.
Pad type
Meaning
Hit
While they are mostly used as non-transposing events, they can also
be transposing notes or chords. Basically, they are single-note or
single-chord Sequences (see below).
Sequence
Complex single-track patterns, that can be transposed by playing
different chords on the keyboard – exactly as a Style track. They
are roughly equivalent to single-element, single-track, multi-chord
variation Styles.
User
Freely available locations to save your own Pads (created or edited
in Pad Record).

To choose a different
group of Pads
, touch one of the
tabs
on the sides of
the window.

To choose one of the available
pages
in the selected Pad group, touch one of
the
P1…Px
tabs at the bottom of the window.

Touch the
name of the Pad
you want to choose.

If you want to close the
Pad Select
window (and it does not close by itself),
press the
EXIT
button. (When a window does not close by itself, it means the
Display Hold
is turned on. See

Repeat the above procedure for the other Pads.
Memorize the assigned Pads

Write the Style Settings.
Pads can also be memorized into a SongBook Entry, replacing the ones as-
signed to the linked Style. See the instructions dedicated to the SongBook.
