This example shows how to display the span guard function status:

6.2.2.15 set spantree spanguard

Use this command to enable or disable the Spanning Tree span guard function. When enabled, this
prevents an unauthorized bridge from becoming part of the active Spanning Tree topology. It does
this by disabling a port that receives a BPDU when that port has been defined as an edge (user) port
(as described in

Section 6.2.2.12

). This port will remain disabled until the amount of time defined

by the set spantree spanguardtimeout (

Section 6.2.2.18

) has passed since the last seen BPDU or

the port is manually unlocked (as described in

Section 6.2.2.21

).

set spantree spanguard {enable | disable}

Switch command.

Command Mode

Read-Write.

Matrix>show spantree spanguard

spanguard is currently disabled.

enable | disable

Enables or disables the span guard function.
