11.2.1.1 set logging

Use this command to globally disable or re-enable Syslog on the device.

set logging {enable | disable}

Syntax Description

Command Defaults

None.

Command Type

Switch command.

Command Mode

Read-Write.

Example

This command shows how to disable Syslog:

11.2.1.2 show logging all

Use this command to display all configuration information for system logging.

show logging all

Syntax Description

None.

Command Defaults

None.

enable | disable

Enables or disables Syslog.

Matrix>set logging disable

NOTE: Most system messages are logged at severity level of 6 (Notice). By default, the
logging applications are set to 5 (Warning),

which will suppress level 6 (Notice)

messages from the console session. To view most of the logging of configuration
messages on the console session, ACL hits etc., the set logging application
command should be used as described in

Section 11.2.1.12

to set the logging level for

applications to 6 or higher.
