wish to use a pulse with a pulse length other than 200 ms then you
must define a corresponding template.
We recommend that non-relevant output lines are also masked with an
asterisk (*) in order that the condition of these lines is not altered.
The templates are described in Section 3.14.5.
4.11.3 Receive data (SCAN RS)
Definition of the parameters for receiving data via a serial RS-232 inter-
face.
• Serial port: Selection of the RS-232 interface which the peripheral
device is connected to.
• Data string: Enter the desired data string here. "*" can be used for
one or more characters.
• Timeout: You can define a time after which an action should be car-
ried out in case the signal pattern has not been recognized.
• Timeout action: The action defined here will be carried out if the
time interval has expired.
4.11.4 Send data (CONTROL RS)
Definition of the parameters for sending data via a serial RS-232 inter-
face.
• Serial port: Selection of the RS-232 interface which the peripheral
device is connected to.
• Data string: Enter the desired data string here. All characters ac-
cording to ASCII code can be used. Please consult the online help
for how to enter the data string.
Note!
Each command is terminated automatically with carriage return + line
feed.
