Starting the Windows 2000 Professional Installation from the
Boot Floppies

1. With the PCs’ power off, insert the diskette titled Windows 2000 Setup

Boot Disk into the floppy disk drive.

2. Turn on the PC.

3. Insert the Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional CD into the CD-ROM

drive.

4. Follow the on-screen prompts to remove and insert the Windows 2000

Professional Setup Disks 2, 3, and 4 when instructed to do so.

5. Continue with Completing the Windows 2000 Professional Installation

on page 2-15.

Starting the Windows 2000 Professional Installation from the
CD-ROM

1. Turn on the PC.

2. Insert the Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional CD into the CD-ROM

drive.

3. When prompted, enter into the computer’s BIOS setup program.

4. Verify that the Boot Priority has the CD-ROM device listed first.

(Before the floppy or hard disk devices.)

5. Exit the BIOS and save the setting.

6. Press any key to boot from the CD-ROM.

IMPORTANT

If your installation requires additional Manufacturer’s
Drivers, press the <F6> key during the boot process and
follow the on-screen instructions for adding the necessary
drivers.
