Installing Internet Explorer 6.0
All systems are required to use Internet Explorer 6.0. Follow these steps to
install Internet Explorer 6.0:
1. Logon to the system as Administrator.
2. Insert the ProcessLogix R500.1 Knowledge Builder CD into the
CD-ROM drive.
3. Click Start

Run.
4. Enter this path or Browse to:
>D:
(or your CD-ROM drive letter)
\Internet Explorer 6_0\IE6Setup.exe<
5. Click OK to launch the Internet Explorer setup application.
6. Click the I accept the agreement option and click Next.
7. At the Windows Update: Internet Explorer window, click Next.
8. Click Finish.
The system will automatically restart.
9. To verify that the install/upgrade is complete, refer to Checking the
Internet Explorer Version on page 2-32.
TIP
If this is the first time start since the Windows 2000
operating system install, it will be necessary to remove the
default startup screens. Refer to Removing the Default
Startup Screens on page P-4.
TIP
On subsequent logons to the computer, a task will run to
apply the update. You will see this one time for all users of
the computer.
