measures to be taken when the output IP address does not coincide with the IP
address of the router to which the DHCP/BOOTP client is connected.
5.2.11 Confirming the DHCP server function
The contents of confirmation when a DHCP server function is set in the router are as
described below.
5.2.11.1 Confirmation when setting of configuration definition
(a) Confirmation of communication with DHCP relay agent unit
Confirm using a ping command whether the router can communicate with a
DHPC relay agent unit when an IP address is assigned to the DHCP client via a
DHCP relay agent.
(b) Confirmation of assigned IP address pool count
The number of clients (number of IP address pools) that can be connected in the
router is 2000. Execute a show ip dhcp server statistics command and confirm
the number of IP addresses assigned to the client set using a configuration
definition command (dhcp subnet or dhcp host).

5.2.11.2 Confirmation during operation
(a) Confirmation of assigned IP address count
Execute a show ip dhcp binding command and confirm the IP address assigned
to the DHCP client.
