Confirm that a DNS address is acquired using PPPoE session information when the
name server is set so that it is automatically acquired by a PPPoE session. If the DNS
address is not acquired, a DNS server address has been set so that it is not notified
by the remote server (connection provider). In this case, set the name server
manually after getting confirmation from the connection provider.

(b) Confirmation of communication with name server

Confirm using a ping command that the IP address set using a configuration
definition command (dns-resolver) or the IP address automatically acquired using
a DHCP client function or PPPoE function can communicate with the router.

Confirmation during operation

(a) Confirmation of operational state

Execute a show dns-relay command and confirm the operational state of the DNS
relay. See Subsection 7.5.5, “Domain resolution is not possible in DNS relay
communication
” for details of the contents of confirmation.
