occurred is not contained in the route information that the router acquired
or when the next hop address is illegal.

Step 4.

A problem is judged to exist in the functions below that are set to the
interface in which communication is not possible when the route
information of an interface in which a communication failure has occurred
is contained in the route information that the router acquired. Examine the
relevant function.

Multicast communication

Go to Subsection 7.8.1.6, “Inspection of Multicast Interface
Information”
.

RA function

Go to Subsection 7.8.1.8, “Inspection of RA Definition Information”.

Tunnel interface

Go to Subsection 7.8.1.11, “Confirmation on Information Set for the
Tunnel Interface”
.

NAT-PT

Go to Subsection 7.8.4, “Troubleshooting NAT-PT Communication
Failures
”.

7.8.1.6

Inspection of Multicast Interface Information

In the event that there is no routing information available despite an IPv6 multicast
packet having been received, the neighbor information and MLD group information
currently acquired by the Router needs to be checked out. The relevant checking
procedure is described below:

Step 1.

Log in to the Router.

Step 2.

Check out the neighbor information and MLD group information currently
acquired by the Router by using the commands shown in the table below.
For details on these commands, see GR2000 Operations Commands, Vol. 2,
and for the procedure for confirming multicast routing by protocol, see
Section 7.10.

Step 3.

A problem is judged to exist in the functions below that are set to the
interface in which communication is not possible when the route
information of an interface in which a communication failure has occurred
is contained in the route information that the router acquired. Examine the
relevant function.
