Filtering/QoS function

Go to Subsection 7.8.1.7, “Inspection of Filtering/QoS Definition
Information
”.

7.8.1.7

Inspection of Filtering/QoS Definition Information

If communication cannot be performed despite the device having no physical
impediments and the route information having also been set correctly, it is possible
that the setting is such that the filtering function is stopping only the effected
packets or the packets are being abolished by the QoS function band control or
priority abolishment control.

Therefore, confirm that the setting condition for the filtering function and the QoS
function for the configuration defining information are correct and that the band
control in the system structuring and the priority abolishment control are
appropriate in the system operation. For the procedure thereof, refer to Subsection
7.5.1,
“Communication cannot be done or communication is disconnected”.

7.8.1.8

Inspection of RA Definition Information

If no communication can be carried out between this router and the terminal directly
connected to this router, RA may have abnormally distributed address information.
Therefore, confirm that the RA function of configuration definition information is set
properly. For the procedure, see Subsection 5.6.5, “Confirming that IPv6 address
information is distributed properly
”.

Filtering/QoS function
Go to Subsection 7.8.1.8, “Inspection of RA Definition Information”.

Tag-VLAN function
Go to Subsection 7.8.1.10, “Confirmation of Tag-VLAN Setting Information”.

7.8.1.9

Inspection of Null Interface Definition Information

When the packet is not discarded although communication to a specific network or
terminal is restricted by the Null interface, the Null interface configuration definition
may be incorrect. Ensure that the Null interface is correctly set up, in accordance
with the following procedure:

Step 1.

Using the

show ipv6-inicast interface ipv6-unicast

command, ensure that the

Null interface status is “up.”

<Has the packet been discarded on the Null interface?>

Confirm the status of the Null interface by executing the show ipv6

interface ipv6-unicast command.

Confirm whether the setting is correct in the Null interface of the

operating configuration defining information.

Confirm the route information by executing show ipv6 route

command.

Confirm that the packet has been discarded on the Null interface

by executing show ipv6 interface command.
