8.2

Transmission of Maintenance Information

This section describes how to use commands for transmitting error log files and
dump information files, which have been automatically created in the event of a
failure on GR2000 in operation, to the device management terminal. The three
methods use the

ftp

,

zmodem

and

show tech-support

commands. Table 8-2 shows how

such maintenance information is transmitted.

Note: When the files indicated in the first, second and fifth entries are transferred using the ftp

command, transfer such files in binary mode.

. When you specify the extended RP dump, two dump files—
one for the standard RP dump and the other for the extended RP dump—will be created.
