Input of Old BSD UNIX-Based Syntax Operation Command

New Syntax Operation Command and Old BSD UNIX-Based Syntax Operation

Command

The operation commands that can be used in CLI are classified into the new syntax
operation command and the old syntax operation command, each having the
following features.

1. New syntax operation command:

A command of

new system

that can be used only in CLI. See Section 1.1, “List of

Commands” in GR2000 Operations Commands, Vol. 1.

2. Old syntax operation command:

A command of “old system” that can also be executed on the UNIX shell prompt.
See Section 1.1, “List of Commands” in GR2000 Operations Commands, Vol. 1.

Operation Command Input Mode

The operation command input mode in CLI can be set in either of the following two
modes.

1. New syntax operation command mode:

A mode inputted mainly on the new syntax operation command. This mode is set
at the initial introduction.

2. Old syntax operation command mode:

A mode inputted mainly on the old syntax operation command.

When changing the input mode, execute the

set terminal command-literal

command.

Input Form for the Old BSD UNIX-Based Syntax Operation Command

The form for executing the old syntax operation command varies depending on the
command input mode.

1. Where the command input mode is the new syntax operation command mode:

Prefix “@” at the head of the command to be inputted.

A case where the old syntax operation command “ip show route” is executed in
the new syntax operation command mode.

@ip show route

2. Old syntax operation command mode:

Designate the desired command.

A case where the old syntax operation command “ip show route” is executed in
the old syntax operation command mode.
