If a communication anomaly has occurred, confirm the routing from this device
to the client and the name server. To confirm the name server, follow the
instructions for confirmation of a name server described in this section.
If the maximum accommodation number has been exceeded or if a memory
shortage has occurred, check that an excessive amount of client demand was not
generated.
The maximum accommodation number may be exceeded or a memory shortage
may occur because of re-try processing caused by a communication anomaly. In
such a case, perform confirmation on the communication anomaly.
7.5.5.3 Inspection of Configuration Definition Information
If there is an error in the configuration definition setting, there is a possibility that
the DNS relay will not be able to perform the communication. The procedure for
confirming the configuration definition setting is given below.
(a) Confirmation of Effective DNS Relay Function Setting
Confirm that the DNS relay function has been made effective by using the
configuration definition command
show dns-resolver .
>show dns-relay

A number other than zero indicates the maximum
accommodation number has been exceeded
Check if a large access has been made from the same IP address.
A number other than zero indicates the occurrence of the
memory shortage.
A number other than zero indicates the occurrence of the
communication error.
