Step 3.

Expand memory units on the removed standby BCU (RM-CPU board):

Add memory units to the RM-CPU board of the removed standby BCU. See
GR2000 Installation Guide

Step 4.

Install the standby BCU again:

See Subsection 8.3.1, item 1 Step 3.

Step 5.

Start the operation of the standby BCU:

See Subsection 8.3.1, item 1 Step 5.

(2) Concurrent Upgrade of RP Memory while Power is On

Figure 8-33 shows the steps for expanding the RP memory while the power is on.
Details of each step follow the figure.

Step 1.

Stop the operation of the RP:

See Subsection 8.3.1, item 2 Step 1.

Step 2.

Remove the RP:

See Subsection 8.3.1, item 2 Step 2.

Step 3.

Expand the RP memory:

Increase the memory on the removed RP board. See GR2000 Installation
Guide
