WAN line cannot be connected

When the cause of the communication fault is suspected to be derived from the WAN
line, the following checkout actions must be done:

7.4.2.1

Checkout on the Status

Confirm the states of NIF, line, subline, timeslot and link layer protocol by using the
commands shown in Table 7-9.

(a) NIF Status Checkout:

Check out the NIF status using a show interfaces command. The remedy for NIF
status is shown in the table below.

command, and take necessary troubleshooting
actions in accordance with the obtained log message
(Chapter 5, “Log Messages,” in GR2000 Operations Log
and MIB Reference
).

This line is restarting after error
detection.

Same as above.Operation of this line is suspended by
configuration information.

locked

Operation of this line is suspended by
configuration information.

Ensure that a cable is connected to the line to be used,
and set this line to active by altering the configuration
information.

Note: The connected remote router may be put into the "active up" status without being linked down even if it closes
RP, NIF, and LINE when it is GR2000.
