Inspection of Log Message and Interface

Impediment (or breakage) of the hardware (RP/NIF/Line) or impediment in the
adjacent device may be seen as the cause of the communication obstruction. Inspect
the log messages shown in the router and the interface up/down status by the

show

ip interface

command. For the procedure, refer to Subsection 7.5.1, “Communication

cannot be done or communication is disconnected” on page 7-23.

Confirmation of this Device’s DNS Relay State

Use the

show dns-relay

command to confirm whether information can be derived from

the DNS relay demon. If the result of executing the

show dns-relay

shown below, re-set the relay function by using the

dns-resolver

configuration
