definition for the BSR and rendezvous point is correct by employing the
configuration definition.

Step 8.

Charge the

show ipv6 mroute

command in router #2, and confirm that the

IPv6 multicast routing cash (S, G) from the transmitter S1 to G1, and the
IPv6 multicast routing cash (*G) to G1 are in existence. If they are not in
existence, confirm that the interface definition of the ipv6 PIM-SM between
this router and #1 and router #3 is “enabled,” and free of definition for
suppression when relaying using a filter.

Step 9.

If a ipv6 routing cash downstream does not exist, confirm that router #1
and router #3 are indicated by the show ipv6 pim neighbor.

Step 10.

If the routing cash does not exist, charge the

show ipv6 pim bsr

and the

show

ipv6 pim rp mapping

commands in router #3, and confirm that the BSR and

rendezvous point (RP) are router #2.

7.10.1.2

PIM-SSM network

In the configuration of the IPv4 PIM-SSM network shown in the figure, follow the
procedure below when the packets sent from transmission source S1 to G1 in an
IPv4 PIM-SSM network cannot be received by host #1.

Step 1.

Ensure that the RP packages employed in all the Routers are RP-C6/
RP-CV/RP-D6/RP-DV. If a different RP package is used, the log: "Please
note that the RPs shown below do not support the IPv6 Multicasting
features" will remain.

Step 2.

Confirm that SSM is defined in the configuration definition information of
the router and that G1 is an SSM address.

Step 3.

Charge the show ipv6 mld interface command in router #3, and confirm
that the interface with host #1 is displayed, and free of definition for
suppression on relaying using a filter.

Step 4.

Charge the show ipv6 mld group command in router #3, and confirm that
host #1 is participating in the G1 group.

Step 5.

Confirm that (G1, S1) is defined in the configuration definition information
of ssm-join in router #4.

Step 6.

Confirm that S1 is defined in the interface sending data of transmitter S1. If
multiple IPv6 addresses are set (for example, when automatic setting is
available,) confirm that the source address of the send data is S1.

Step 7.

Execute a show ipv6 rpf command in router #4 and confirm that the route
to S1 is recognized. In this case, router #2 is prescribed as an upper
stream.
